I had the Phantom, so 115 bike. It was really fucking fun. Very stiff frame so it could take the abuse of central PA rocks and never complained.

The raw is very pretty. I did add different color decals because I didn’t like the orange/red of the phantom. Hell, it was so nice I bought it twice, with a brief detour on a spur in between.

I have very limited experience with FS MTBs but I love my Ripmo AF.

Ibis ride so good.

Except for the Mojo. I don’t know anyone that liked that one.

I had the OG carbon 26" Mojo and it was awesome, for the time.

Kinda crazy that my last FS had a wheelbase a full 5-1/2" longer.

There were like 4 or 5 versions of the mojo (double that if you include the mojo hd) and most were popular?

I think someone else on here still has a 27.5 mojo. I loved mine but outgrew the travel and also realized i like 29" wheels once 29ers stopped sucking.

The HD6 is just the Mojo HD.

Lol I still have my mojo 4 - I was just thinking this may be the only bike I haven’t itching to replace 5 years after getting it. The evil following I got has a lot of overlap on paper but doesn’t really replace

I’d recommend both of these (or an offering for longer travel) but they’re all carbon so that’s off the table.

yeah, i actually was really sad to get rid of my mojo and first couple rides on my hightower i wished i hadn’t, but it didnt take long before i loved the hightower.

the bike it took me longest to love was the sentinel, but mainly because it was a huge geo change going from the 2018 hightower to the 2019 sentinel.

Still rocking a pair of sentinels. One has a cascade link. Both have some really dithery suspension solutions now. I see no reason to go to another platform yet.

Once you know the sentinel, it is hard to want to go to another bike once you have acclimated to it. But having two is still next level commitment.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way. I just got a carbon frame to replace my alu frame. Then built up the alu frame a year later.

eventually you just have a whole fleet of sentinels

I signed up for our local week night “enduro” series. It’s basically a 1 stage enduro at 3 locations. Pedal up, get a time on the downhill, go home.

It’s been going on a few years but I’ve never been gungho to sign up. My friends peer pressured me into it and now I’m old so i can race 40+.
I crushed my category by a good margin. Overall by gender i got 6th out of 37, but top time was an ebiker.

Really long race. Took me 8m 29s. I was so tired by the bottom 3rd i kept sitting down anywhere i could, then just tried to hold on for the jumps at the end. With a little more stamina i think i could have shaved 10-15s off.

It was raining and 2nd place was cold and went home.

Pieces together the whole A-line route at one of the local trails and of course it looks flat as hell in the videos.

Didn’t get a video of myself rolling down the last part but it funnels back into the trail pretty nicely.

The last bit:

The race is on this trail on Wednesday. I’ll be skipping the first long slab section. Every dude we saw ride it was just kicking up loose dirt onto the rocks and I’m pretty sure it’ll be hellish on race day. I’ll do the other lines as they were mostly all nice granite that won’t get as demolished from the racers practicing.
