Anybody have thoughts or feelings on the Ritchey Road Disc?

Wanting to build something all-roadish and modern steel

Seems like a good bike. I think you should go for it.

Of course, I know nothing about road bikes or bicycle geometry.

Looks pretty cool tho.

Cheaper
Carbon
Tarck as fuck.

I’ve been on steel forever, so something like this would appeal more to me.

I’m sure the road disc is nice but if it were me I’d get the montebello

The non-disc Breakaway Road I have is the single nicest riding bike I have ever owned, save maybe for the Davidson. Ride quality alone makes it an incredible value.

Geo looks like the Road Logic they’ve sold for ages. My ‘99 is a very nice-riding bike.

That was my original plan, there’s something about the logic that’s speaking up me tho. Also yes tariffs, wait times ect.

Consider a coffee grinder there’s a 56 and 58 ready to ship

I guess you’re more after that road 28mm to 32mm feel?

No, when I originally started looking into this I actually wanted a little more tire clearance I’m just trying to figure out what my plan actually is lol. I’m not trying to really buy a bike until spring at the earliest next year.

I think the logic could actually play the same role as my carbon road bike. Just be more comfortable. Where is some of these other options lean more into the endurance, All road or light gravel category. I don’t know how often I’ll ride gravel. I think I like the concept of it more than the practice but that could change

Probably one of the deciding factors for me will be what colors are available when I’m ready to buy.

Does tarck have a consensus on ritchey, like is he maga and the company isnt? or something

I don’t know anything about his politics. It’s kind of a unique size and level of status while staying independent. I haven’t owned one but have definitely come close a couple times.

Yea I just like the bike frame the rest isn’t my business

Man, that fairlight looks ridiculous with the fat head tube and slim oval top tube.

Get the Ritchey.
