Artisanal bikes

am i missing something, or doesn’t this design also rely on the seatpost for support? (though maybe to a lesser extent than the ritchey?)

You’re missing something. The frame is a solid unit even without the post.

oh, so the seat tube extends to the top of the lug? thought there was a cutout, but that makes more sense. nice bike!

I thought you were out of the rack game

This.

Well, more or less, but I’ve still got a torch and I’d hate to have it go to waste.

Exhibit 7:

(I can fit 2.3" tires under this frame, but these used WTBs are a lot lighter and won’t kill me if I take this thing off-gravel.)

Looks like it planes real good

It’s all 8/5/8 standard diameter tubing, so yeah it’s gonna be pretty flexy, even after I destroy the planing by gluing on seatstays.

Why doesn’t that bike have dick braks?

Because I prefer rim brakes. There’s gonna be a disco bike in the future, but right now the sw8 fixie is all the 70s I want.

Just buy it mang, could always mullet-brake it later on with a disc fork. It’s a cross bike and mini-v’s stop plenty well for us mere mortals in the mud.

Orc would you ever build a frame for tarckbros? Or maybe you don’t want to deal with other people riding your bikes?

Oh, sure, I’d be happy to make one; I’ve already got a bike in the wild in North Carolina (unless it’s been swept away by the hurricane) and between it and the 115 or so racks I’ve built I’ve already had plenty of opportunities for my mistakes to come back and haunt me.

Adventure time;

165 essential parts before the fasteners.
