Bags and stuff

Anyone have front panniers they’d suggest? Leaning towards Swift or Carradice Super C. I’d prefer a smaller independent company.

I really like my super c’s and they were pretty cheap from euroland. Mounting system has been very solid even on poopbarning type trips, works well on my Tubus Tara.

Ortlieb has a new organizer insert for their back-roller and other rear panniers of similar geometry.

Laptop insert dimensions are a little weird tho.

Bag shape is not designed for laptops.

It is not, and gets worse when you add padding.

I was thinking of picking up one instead of buying a new bag specifically for a laptop, but gonna pass. Buying a laptop sleeve and using a front bag is probably gonna be a better setup and use of money.

I’ve got some tiny timbuk2 laptop bag and I just throw it in there and go.

The sleeve I want is out of stock, should probably see if I can cram my timbuk2 bag into a front bag.

I’ve been considering making some strapping and attaching a garden sprayer for a hard shell stuff space/camp shower…

a friend of mine made a rolltop bag for me. the seamstress is not a large person and i know the wald 157 is huge, but…

solid bag instead of see-thru basket really emphasizes the size

i got over-ambitious on the first grocery run with it and still had to break out the bungies

Whatever size bag/basket/rack you have you will always end up with just slightly too much for it. Never fails.

The tragedy of the wald commons or something…

I don’t know how Instagram integration works so this might not work. But anyway, copped a design from some military shit and modified it to fit a nalgene. EDIT: It’s a video so you might have to click the link

alright that’s rad and I want one

I need that so I don’t have to have to take off my feed bag everytime I put the kid on the macride since it blocks her handle bar space. I’ll take 3!

Lemme get that

Told @Gary_the_tennis_ball via IG so might as well here. I don’t know if I’m going to make and sell these. They’re a rip off of a design, I just reverse engineered it from pictures. It’s a rip from the Maxpedition 0207 dump pouch. Those retail for less than $30. Materials/labor for me would put my bag closer to maybe even $50, lowest I could go is $30 but at the end of the day I’d be profiting off something I didn’t design. I don’t like that. If I get enough push on IG I might make a run of 20-30 of an alternate design, I already have a list of things I want to change. And then I wouldn’t feel so bad anyway, changing it from tacticool to bike-nerd.

Anyway, if you want one right now the Maxpedition 0207 is what you’re looking for.

I would wait for an updated strawbag. That thing is pretty rad.

I would wait also to have something that’s improved, made by a tarcker rather than a company that makes stuff for police
