Bike blerg thread

totally; not saying it isn’t competitive but it feels like a lot of bongs as a purchase

I love this stuff too, but it writes itself, send off the same questions to all the contestants and ask for a good photo. It’s win win. You still gotta format and spell check it which is gonna take an age for 100 bikes. It’s so interesting looking at the current trends, forks, racks, bars.

I see the porky Ergon bar ends are still really popular. Does anyone have recommendations for a more lightweight one for bikepacking?

Did Jan make an instagram for his artisan dangler?

I’m glad @adem is on the case

I’m always interested to see how many of these people finish the event, and if you could predict it by looking at their gear choices. There are some “bike jewellery” entries in there for sure. I see a Trek Caliber. I’ve always thought they look like a good f/s frame due to the main-frame bag real estate area.

There are spreadsheets with many columns one could make with all of this, definitely including started vs finished!

Most everything on a bicycle is easy if you have a CNC machine or two.

oh yeah for sure, I say, sarcastically patting my pockets as to see how many cnc machines i have on me right this minute

edit: wait this is what you do for a living, I think the puzzle pieces are coming together

This thread seems like the best place to put this.
