In 2020, Surly’s first batch of the revised 2021 model year 700c Disc Truckers had the spare spoke holder built with the jig from the 26" wheels, which means that the spokes are very much too long for the spoke holder.
Surly’s official statement on this is ¯_(ツ)_/¯ maybe use some tubing or a spring to make it work.
