@igor you start your housing from the end and work your way forward to the levers? What the fuck?

Literal chaos demon over there

Isn’t the hole at the front usually bigger?

You should try it sometime

Scope of work (formerly The Prepared) x Jan Heine

Not totally certain how I feel about these

SRAM is so weird. The Level is simultaneously their entry level and top tier brake at the same time.

Ano TA?
If they’re not functionally different or lighter weight then add them to the pile of MUSA ANO shit that is expensive but if you’re into matchy then the world is your oyster

I guess its more having mixed feelings on King as a company and whatnot. Too much matchy matchy never looks great, even when its all “the same.” Even the same ano by King almost never actually matches.

I mean I think anyone who has been around a while has an opinion about CKPC.

My favorite opinion is how they don’t support old stuff so now I have shit from 7-8 years ago that has a “lifetime warranty” that can’t actually be warranted and that sucks

yup, I remember being so excited when they made campy freehubs for r45 hubs and then they stopped making them (probably because they didn’t sell enough), but I just got rid of my last pair of wheels with them and did so pretty happily.

I have a set of first gen QR 6bolt R45s. Fortunately I bought the rear TA axle when it was for sale, I think the front though has to stay QR

I think king stuff is cool as long as I can ep them which I haven’t been able to do for 10 years. Also I don’t like how noisy the hubs are.

Ck is thinking meme guy
“Don’t need to warranty for life if there isn’t much life”

The service interval for their hubs is laughably short

I roasted a CK BB in a couple seasons, bull f shit a bb is a maintenance part when Shimano exists

damn i found a king gxp BB in a parts bin, put it on my bike like 6 years ago and haven’t touched it since, runs smooth as the day I installed it. not touching it until it consumes itself

I was excited about that too and had a set of wheels build with those hubs back in like '12 or '13. The rear got converted to Shimano 11 a few years ago and I keep forgetting to sell the low mileage Campy assembly that came out.

Then I got soured on CK after hearing some things about how the company was run.

parts aside, a friend who i would’ve expected to hate working at chris king got a job there about a year ago, and has nothing but nice things to say about it. sounds like the company culture had a pretty major shift before they started, and it’s much less of a boys’ club now
