If cost of living was a concern I suspect the attrition might have been potentially driven by external factors as well as general churn. But who knows.

I see people in suits on bikes occasionally in NYC. I’ve done it myself for weddings (the only time I ever wear a suit).

They’re called “ShutleX” (yes, that spelling). Their post post is available in 105mm–230mm options, 30.9, 31.6, and 34.9mm diameters. The booth was empty so I couldn’t get any more info, but a trademark search suggests it’s a brand from Taiwan Hanbin Machinery Co.

I saw so many Crusts at the Catskills ride (Horse Cycles) I did. Crust in the Northeast is like Surly in MN. Idk what is going on, but there is some kind of marketing that is working very well.
If you were into that kind of riding in the northeast 5-10 years ago, you probably personally interacted with Matt or Ronnie Romance. Really easy to buy a bike from someone you know and like. I would have had one if I could afford new and shiny stuff. Still love my ridiculous wide ronnie drop bars. Seamless transition from mtb to road-going bike
