The guy literally won the war but can’t just relax or even properly cash in. It’s really just sad at this point.
Its in the hating on what’s-a-name thread.
Finally watched about half of this. Looking forward to seeing the rest. I like this person’s reviews.
it was linked in the riv thread but not really discussed: The Rivendell Rage Reader: A thread for the pure joy of hating on Grant P - #233 by asterisk
you should go check again and then come back and unfold them fuckin arms.
Paul Sadoff not impressed with PVD
The guy in the polka-dot kit was everywhere and was pretty crazy on the bike ride, taking reckless chances on the bike without a helmet. I’m amazed that he survived the ride and the show.
I want to find the forum full of the guys who like him
Oh man I hope pvd does one of his art of war roasts of sadoff
Saturday started out just as slow as Friday and I began to wonder about the health of this show until about noon when all of a sudden the people showed up and the entire venue filled to capacity.
Everyone was standing in line for brunch.
I love the idea of never referring to PVD by name again
“The guy in the polka dot kit”
“The guy with that weird bike”
“The guy with the broken handlebar”
“That guy who’s always crashing”
How many spare bars and stems do think he brings on a group ride like that?
DKlein and Prolly in the same vlog:
Where in Prolly claims he was the first to … use a stick to prop up a bike and photoshop it out for the floating bike effect.
Meanwhile, every bike catalog designer from the 90s wants a word.
What a novice. I hung one of mine off a clothes line 20 years ago and twinked out the rope on the negative and hand coloured it.
I remember a letter in BMX Plus! asking how they took photos of the bikes without stands. They responded, “Someone holds it and jumps out of frame before we take the picture.”
Just gotta move fast.
Prolly really think he did everything first doesn’t he? What a weird ego that dude’s got.
…put the drive side pedal forward.
I was waiting for “…and that’s when I decided that the main picture of the bike should be from the drive side. More than that, if you look closely at all of the pictures I’ve taken of bikes with doubles, you’ll notice that they’re all in the big ring. I think that comes from my experience of being an architect. The front door is always in the middle of the front of the house and the big chainring is like the front door so that’s where I want to draw the eye…”
