I got hit while on tour 5 or so years ago. Car was probably doing 50+ mph and clipped me. Insanely lucky to be alive. Helmet was cracked in multiple places. When the paramedics came they didn’t even check me out for a concussion or take me to the hospital. I rode another few miles down the road and my aunt picked me up, luckily enough we had been planning on meeting for lunch that day while I was in her area. Woke up the next day and realized I definitely had been concussed. I definitely feel like I’m more irritable, sensitive to noise and light, and have more difficulty concentrating than I used to. It’s taken me a long time to realize that’s probably partly from that incident and not just due to changes in life circumstances that have happened in the last 5 years. But it’s still impossible to know what overall effect it had on me.

Yep. It made it very hard to get him help as none of us could deal with his obnoxiousness. And that is with 2 mental health/social workers in the family. Plus an ailing mental health system being cut by our latest govt. Bro never had a good outcome no matter what. He was incompatible with people and the only ones attracted to him were nutbars themselves. Unfortunately it gets worse with age. I know how you feel.

Depending on the TBI it can affect impulse control, emotional regulation, paranoia and hypervigilance, and flexibility in thought patterns. Social media doesn’t help in those sorts of states either.
Yes. My bro went down the rabbit hole but to be fair he always had a conspiracy tendency. The racism was new. In layman’s terms, “tolerance” of anything is an issue. So if his rabbit hole buddies are speaking that way I guess they could follow.
