Fuckin yeeeeeeeeeah. Except the stem is broken. COME ON DOESN"T ANYONE IN NYC HAVE A CINELLI 1R!?!?
fist pound
Is that a professional?
1R’s are the ones with the dumb hidden clamp right? Fuck those things. My buddy’s Sachs had one of those stems and it has an aluminum binder bolt, which is now cracked in half. So dumb.
Yup on both. Batavus professional from what can be assumed to be late 80s like 87 or so. And I think the 1r is sexy, practical or not. I’ll deal with a 1a or whatever, if I can find it in the right length.
i just threw a fork with 13cm of exposed steertube on the crosscheck. i’m about a week from finishing this beast after 6 months. last thing is a rear brake cable and a big ass saddlebag from rivendell.
got a 59 on order this morning should be building in a week or so
can’t wait. i feel kinda bad though; my friend got one of these a few months ago after i convinced him they were awesome and now i am totes bitin his steez
Found a 7-spd Sachs freewheel. Bigger range than I wanted but oh well. Also found the compression wedge for the 1r… the dude just pulled it out of a tiny little parts jar instantly. It took him longer to find a freewheel. I think I’m still going to try and find a 100-110mm 1r
that is quite a nice bike.
but as a member of the the IAN committee (or idiots against knogs not nogs) i must ask you to remove the knog from your seatpost.
