Was that soundtrack fake, or real sounds dubbed in?

Maybe it was real recorded with a mic on the bike, and therefore the lack of doppler effect that I’d expect as a viewer is throwing me off?

Sounds real to me. I’m pretty impressed by that innovation alone, let alone the riding content. The ping his spokes make when he lands, pauses and goes into a rollback is satisfying too.

There might be some real audio in there (that’s been heavily processed), but a lot of it is designed in post production.

Sweet foley work then. I can see that it’s be quite hard to record usable sound on a moving bike and avoid the huge wind noise.

Yowamushi Pedal has a slow pace that doesn’t reward watchers for awhile. And it has the usual problem of casual sexism that you get in shonen/ sports anime. But i loved it and recommend keeping at er.

Yea! I saw that when I watched that video a while ago! I think one of the coolest things about that clip is Shota Kawamoto is a real Para-Olympian! I think its so cool they included him and gave a really cool PSA about accessibility. Wholesome as all get out.

Leo Rodgers is also a very cool dude that does all sorts of neat stuff, and recently relocated to your neck of the woods!

Also good tip. I’ll give it another shot. Where did you watch it? I tried free crunchyroll but the amount of ads is ridiculous, and I’m not sure I want to pay monthly to watch one show.

Okay rad. It sounds like it comes recommended so I’ll figure out a way to give it another shot. A while ago I did some research and found a couple of other cycling anime but I lost the list. i’ll have to go find em again!
