I was obsessed with that music video for a very long time
Took my pegs off and threw on a set of plastic pedals today.
Went to the skatepark for an hour and a half before afternoon shift. There were two other dudes there on bikes when I got there. They were friendly and encouraging, which was sweet. Got a lil sesh going with everyone pushing themselves to try new stuff.
I ended up learning pedal feebles on a small box and then taking it to a box at the top of a wedge to wedge hip. Psyched! New trick and new feature for me!
Then I slipped a pedal and sliced the absolute fuck out of my shin. The worst I’ve ever done it. One of the slashes is a about 75mm across and 5-6mm deep. Fucking brutal. I should be getting stitches right now but I’m an idiot so I’m not.
Lesson learned - no more riding in shorts, and I’m probably going to start wearing the shin guards I bought awhile ago and have never worn…
