Box rims and low flange hubs.

Suggest good box rim/low flange combos for my next wheelset.
I’m looking to spend no more than like 250 all told.

id check out deathares low flange thread…but, semi-budget but good?

personal opinion: either miche’s or dura ace’s to open pros or open sports. and 3x both.

Hecks yeah 3x.
I dislike other cross patterns.
More starts to look messy to me and any less looks lame unless it’s like a 24 hole wheel.

im just not a fan of the hipstertarck radial unless it comes pre built on a road wheel that way and thereis no other choice. i dont see the visual appeal in it

You’re preaching to the choir.

i think i love you

Okay.
But no buttsecks.

Thats an awesome setup, but it’ll probably run more than $250 unless you build it yourself and/or get a sweet hook-up.

Maybe Miche to Open Sport would make the budget.

speaking of open pro’s, anyone know a good place to get some for not 75 bucks a rim?

I’d be building it myself.

do they have to be clinchers?

I’d like them to be clinchers.
If you can make a good case for a set of tubulars than go for it.

Ambrosios Evolutions. $50 apiece.

nicer rims for less money and arguably nicer ride, it depends if you wanna skid. if i had a brake i’d probably run tubs.

Dura Ace/Open Pro with double-butted spokes. That wheelset would rival sex, if you built it right, and would probably be better than some sex.

LF Miche to Open Sports sounds like just the thing for my new Olmo. Thanks, this thread!

+1

Aeroheads, 32 hole silver, $40

^Not boxy. Seriously though, I wouldn’t even consider anything but Ambrosio Evolutions in that price range.

Double eyelets 480g. (open sports are 500g. I think and not nearly as sexy)
