Build with whatever you want, I was just giving a heads up on cheap, light, strong rims. Here’s my LF IROs /Aeroheads, with some MA3s behind them:

Not to hijack the thread but are the Ambrosia Balance worth a look? Ital Techno has them for 30 apiece but I’ve only ever heard people recomending the ones above.
ive never tried this certain ambrosio rim thats being suggested, but I have had two other ambrosio rims before, and they usually came out of true much easier than my older set of open pro wheels. I had a very small crash on one too and it warped it out completely, whereas my open pros have taken that kind of stress dozens of times and have never had a problem. Used the same dt swiss spokes and cross pattern on them too. I support my original suggestion with the mavics, open pro or open sport.
cant find miches anywhere right now but the high flange are about 85-90 Im sure theyre the same if not similiar in low flange.
also see low flange dura ace hubs on ebay for 179 a set
all these threads about building rad wheels are making my unaffordable wheel fetish worse. out of my 4 wheelsets only 2 wheels are running and i want more anyway…fuck you guys.

ooh ooh…DA track group-group buy!!![/quote]
I’m the same way. I can’t look at anodized tubulars on eBay anymore, lest I lose control and buy another pair.
Aeroheads are nice.
But it’s not so much the the profile I’m worried about, it’s being an actual box shape rim.
Aeroheads are just short Veeps.
Those Ambrosias are nice and an option I wasn’t even aware of.
What do you guys think about them compared to Open Pros?
