Box rims and low flange hubs.

OP’s aren’t really box rims either…they’re semi-aero or something.

other than that, i can’t think of a single reason that they aren’t nearly perfect.

Repost/ regloat

dude, score…

Formula list a double fixed (TH22) low flange hub but my googling doesn’t find any for sale, only thing I can find is fixed/free on ebay from NOMCO but they want 70-80 bucks for it whcich seems kinda 'spensive.

I was thinking one of those to an open sport in the back with whatever shimano road hub/open sport in the front would be the poor mans dura ace/open pro combo. Pretty much perfect for my needs.
Aeroheads are nice.
But it’s not so much the the profile I’m worried about, it’s being an actual box shape rim.
Aeroheads are just short Veeps.
Those Ambrosias are nice and an option I wasn’t even aware of.
What do you guys think about them compared to Open Pros?
If you want to go up a step, you can get these:

So sick.

^^ I ride those ambrosios

an absolutely awesome rim, beautifully made.

^I wonder if Ital-Tecno is getting any more of those in. They are hottttttt.

Awesome MA2s. I had a few of the Bontrager cut and re-rolled Mavics for mountain bikes back in the day. A pair of MA2s, and later a MA40 in the back after an accident with that wheel. Always on the lookout for a set of either in 700c, as I imagine many people here are.

i got some ambrosio excellight 28 rims off ebay. $60 for the pair.
nice rims. laced up good and have stayed true.

Huh?

Also, right on time, Prolly’s sick of Vs too!:

Lol at anti-trendy trendiness.

Anyone know off hand what rims these are? I was thinking Open Pro CD’s at first glance, but now it’s obvious those aren’t OPs. Aeroheads maybe?

those look like campagnolo strada or omega hardox semi aero profile.
here is what that profile looks like.

H+Son thread on September 30th:

I know its probably opposite of the current fixed gear trend but I was wondering if there were any plans to make a less deep, less heavy rim. I think a shallower formation face rim (like half as deep or even less) would be great. It would also be marketable for people that arent just in it for fashion and bomb proofness.

I also wanted to say how nice it is to be able to ask the main man questions on the forum. :)
Box rims are the new veeps.
Maybe I should have a blog. :colbert:

Start it.
I’ll read it so that I can know what’s trendy in the world of tarck before it even happens.
Stay ahead of the curve.

Might also be the velocity Aero, I like that rim a lot.

I just looked around and found like three different weights listed for those.
Including one over a thousand grams for just one rim.
Tell me they’re not that heavy.

Those brakes look like Deltas. That bike looks like awesome.

Prolly is rocking the lowpro look now.
