I always measured saddle height at the spot where my sit bones usually go.

Anything look off? Thinking my stem is a little short

Not the best video. Angle is too low. Your hips could be rocking, but I really can’t tell. Could probably use a longer stem and maybe some more setback. From the angle I see, looks like your knees are in front of the pedal spindle.
Wouldn’t do a longer stem.
Impossible to tell knee over pedal spindle from a video.
True, but he looks way forward and pretty crunched up on the bike.
What’s the frame size and the stem length as is?
Frame is a 54. Not sure about stem, it’s the one that came with the bike and it isn’t written on it. I’ll try to look it up when I’m at a computer

He looks crunched up because he’s gettin’ low. He might be able to rotate forward pretty well and sit in the drops and look bunched up, but look at his position in the hoods… Not crunched forward at all. Arms pretty well extended.
When he starts riding on the hoods his arms look pretty well extended, but around :55 he’s on the hoods and looking a bit crunched up.
I’m not making any definitive assertions however as the video isn’t great. Black kit with the black background and the low angle makes it hard to judge things.
I’m reading on the Internets that the stock stem is 10cm which seems a little stubby to me.
I’ll try to take a better video this weekend. I don’t have a phone tripod thing and the iPhone needs me to be pretty far back to fit in the frame so it was hard to find a good spot. All my shorts are black but ill at least use a white jersey next time
Also with my arms extended on the hoods I feel pretty upright. I could definitely get lower but my knees get annoyingly close to my elbows (same in the drops). I’ve tried raising my seat post before but it felt like my knees were clicking or something coming into and out of the bottom of the pedal stroke, but that may be resolved by not dropping my heels as much maybe? How does the saddle height and leg extension look to y’all?
Thanks for the input and advice!
White jersey might help, but flood lighting would be better. Maybe rotate so that white wall to the left is the background so one can see contrast. Also, as Heath said, a little higher up (e.g. level with top tube or hips) would help in the precise internet fit.

Everyone looks crunched when they bend their elbows like that. Problem is… when it comes down to it, very few people have the core strength to support themselves for a long ride leaning down like that with their elbows bent that much. So I wouldn’t use that position as a definitive way to tell if he needs a longer stem.
He definitely doesn’t look super upright in the hoods either.
100cm is pretty standard for a 54cm bike.
Maybe could play around with it, but as a pro bike fitter (lulz), I wouldn’t force the issue with the stem until we’ve verified the saddle position is good.
I fit in this order
- Saddle height
- Saddle fore/aft
- Cockpit
Cockpit first is just askin’ for trouble
I also had this one but its missing my head. Lighting is a little better though

Amy, you’re right.
Matt, leg extension looks good. Got a photo of the bike without you on it? It’d be nice to see how much setback you’re using.
get the seat forward a little bit and up
you’re rotated pretty far back
will let you ride a bit more drop too
drop your heel through the stroke too
dude, white socks with black shoes?
has tarck taught you nothing?
i wanna play too!

i do these every couple months to check my knees and hips for symmetry

this was about 3 months ago, when i wasn’t very fit but i was really symmetric
not too bad for my right leg being almost 3/4" shorter than my left
