i tried setting it on the ground, but people weren’t finding it. so i moved it up closer to eye level so people got the point.

we did all the fit stuff in the afternoon, after everyone had already ridden 70-80 miles, so most people didn’t put their cycling shorts back on.
plus we were just doing the most minimal stuff, like 15-20 minutes per person. trying to get through 10-15 people per night.
surprising how much shit you can fix for people in 15 minutes actually.
fuck ya technology
app looks pretty well thought out!
This is fucking awesome if it works. Gonna try it today.
So I just got a fit done at Bespoke in SF by Ari
He says I have some bad hip issues, my right leg has a longer effective length and I’ve got some curvature in my spine. Recommended going to a PT and then having him adjust my fit some more, he’s hesitant to give me a more aggressive position and to even try to fit me on the TT bike until I get that stuff looked at. It was obvious from the angles on the screen that the right hip was lower by a significant amount. Knew I shoulda listened to my pops when he kept telling me to stand up straight =D
For now, cleats went back quite a bit, saddle up and forward. Looking forward to trying it out tomorrow
Anyone know any good PT’s in the bay area?
Good? No. Let me know if you find one. Maybe this guy?
Totally curious - what motivated the fit? were you in pain?
Nah just wanted to get more aero and more power if possible. I kinda fit myself and don’t know what I’m doing so figured it would be best to have someone else take a look. Also need to get a good tt position
I wouldn’t trust any fitter or any PT. Take everything with a grain of salt.
That’s what second opinions are for, don’t trust the first person, analyze info from second party then make a decision. Heath doesn’t count as a second opinion as much as the Tarck internet wants you to believe.
I am generally super stoked on my fit situation right now. Have not been this comfortable in the drops in years. I think only my cleat position needs a little tweaking at this point.
here’s a second opinion
do more squats
stoked i just got a fork for my super six from a size 60 we warrantied
now i can unslam my stem
no more 11cm of drop for ol truckdoug
maybe a straigh shooter stem too
1cm drop
Serious?
I’m encouraging you not to consider my opinion as a “second” opinion, but bear in mind that if these issues exist, it’s quite possible that they can’t be “fixed” in any meaningful way. Also, I’ve seen your road bike position. It’s already pretty aggressive.
here’s a second opinion
do more deadlifts[/quote]
Ari knows a lot more than tarck. I’d trust him before anyone on here.
If you look at pro setups, they are as varied as anything else. This is because people are extremely varied and no one fit ‘philosophy’ is going to fit everyone. In one way, road is easier to dial in fit: The position which is both the most aerodynamic and sacrifices the least power in order to make those gains is the ideal position.
cliffs:
Get aero, make sure you don’t lose any power, and if you do make sure it’s not enough to offset your gains by being aerodynamic.
