$7500 on facebook near me

Rare opportunity to own a bike that was owned by the Schwinn family and was displayed in their museum in Chicago then went on to live at Metz Bicycle Museum in in New Jersey before coming to Washington DC and be part of my collection. This style of bicycle was short lived and was relevant after the Highwheel and just before the pneumatic safety bike era of the late 1890’s. Gormully & Jeffrey American Rambler rear spring suspension from the golden age of cycling. This bicycle is a painted over original and is fully operational and retains its original parts that would be very difficult to find today. This machine is heavy and does not come apart easily so in person No bullshit cash transaction here in Springfield Virginia only no shipping no electronic payment no offers thanks.

I’ll sell you all the rusty schwinn approved cone wrenches my dad and grandpa stole out of the Chicago factory for $75

Do they really think somebody’s gonna show up with a fat envelope?

idk. The same dude seems to sell rare and ancient frames all the time, but usually in the $1200 - 2000 range. High price must indicate someone gives a shit?

Sweet fixie!

Brakes r for fakes

Seems like the asking price isn’t entirely out of line.

I have no doubt that there’s a market for this thing, I just can’t imagine showing up to a craigslist transaction with that much cash in my pocket.
I wonder if they can prove the provenance.

Oh yeah. I’m sure its more a case of show up and be a serious buyer/normal person and then go to the bank together to complete the transaction.

Or whatever people do for used cars and similar. I’ve never purchased something that expensive private party.

faking it would cost more than $7500 shartmo.

I’ve paid almost as much for guitars (to flip) in straight cash before. But I brought a buddy who drove my car around the block and sat in it until I called him. Still nerve wracking

I’d be more concerned with getting hit over the head with a pedal wrench and robbed.

Can it even get more boomer than this?

feast ur eyes, it get way more annoying that some cool old bikes
