Craigslist/ebay/etc finds

$250 Look KG281 with clapped out Ultegra.

Hard to see, but these have babby sliding dropouts. I guess so you when you swap off your 25c tires for 19c, you can get tukt.

Not anywhere near a steal (asking 700), but still cool:

What is that front hub?

the fork tapers to little pencil sized bits I love it

Some early naughties roval starfish thingy. They didn’t take off so I assume they aren’t all that but they do look unique.

I think it’s a crappy crank bros wheel.
Edit nvm. It’s a crappy roval.

DQ but did the odd wheel designs ever actually confer any advantages? Like the starfish, or rolf paired spokes, or the mavic exploding r-sys, or [your favorite hype design]. It seems like the OEMs provide normal-spoked wheels at all product tiers still

Straight pull is the only exception I can think of but I know that has a cost cutting factor too

Writeup of those roval hubs at the link below supports that they don’t have any obvious overall advantages beyond marketing distinctiveness.

i have always found it amazing that the best bicycle wheel is basically the same design it was 100 years ago

I know it says 17" but I’m pretty sure this is the frame I sold and it fits more like an 18 or 19, especially with the front end raised up on a suspension fork.

$220 is a reasonable deal for a weirdo e-stay with track ends, not to mention XTR brakes, the fork, and the cranks.

I’m not going to buy it, but will facilitate if one of y’all want it.

My previous ad:

I’d guess in the seller’s pic above it’s set up for someon 6’+ in height at least.

God damn I got the parts to build a sweet 69er out of this. How hard are you willing to facilitate?

So help me this is the kind of thing I would build a whole bike around, even with the shorty steerer.
@JUGE_FREDD this seems up your alley.
