Bikerumor is a trash feed of marketing one liners. Bikeradar is like an actual thing.
That looks like a great way to get poop all over your butt
Yeah, can’t say I’d tried it!
same guy, it’s from this book: https://www.amazon.com/Ultralight-Backpackin-Tips-Inexpensive-Lightweight/dp/0762763841
he’s pretty funny/weird (as you can tell from ideas like the crotch pot)
I had a backpacking book by him when I was a kid. It was pretty funny.
I thought that was a joke?
Seems like the William Nealy of hiking. Or Nealy was the him of paddling.
I like the dick sticker
Some guy put that on my bike during a group campout while everyone was asleep.
About 15 people woke up with them.
hahahaha I could see this going really well or really badly depending on the person
Really bad, if I was the person in question
Bro as fuck
yeah I’d at least take the nuts off it so it’s only a skinny can of beer.
Got some king cage clamps to attach cargoncahes to my fork. The bolt is offset to be either above or below the clamp band. So my question is which is correct.
Here is it alone:
Which is correct? Left or right? Bottom of the cage is down.
I would do it so you have one each way and the band’s are as far apart as possible. Assuming 2 bands per cage. If it mounts to 1 mid fork brazeon and the band at the bottom I would put the band under.
Think there’s a benefit of both facing in vs both facing out? I tried to work out the physics and where the leverage was coming from, but I gave up and went to eat burritos.
I’d go bolt above band, that way if the spot weld fails, gravity will still help keep the bolt tucked under the band. But I like “as far apart as possible” too.
The other consideration is which side the worm screw is that tightens the bands -are they all the same? Or can you mount them so everything is nicely mirrored on both left and right side?
