Probably a case where a dropper post is not an upgrade?
While I have seriously considered upgrading the brakes and bars, I’m only on this thing tor another 6 weeks then it’s going right back onto Craigslist.
The narrow bars are a bit of a hazard, especially with no offset, but I’d have to spend way more time than I have available to try and fix it without cutting up the whole thing.

Pulled this setup out of the junk pile at a shop I used to work at. It’s designed for a dropped threaded stem, but zip ties, chunks of rubber, and electrical tape also work.
I’m carrying things around the house that are too big to fit in my pockets. I had a cloth grocery bag around the bars but it made the wheelie drops down the steps between the living room/dining room/kitchen a little awkward.

Does it take a standard seatpost? Dropper post would be pretty sweet.
I haven’t measured, but it’s pretty convenient having the seat/knee rest in the exact same spot no matter what.
I’m still tempted to measure the steer tube to see if I have any options for attaching a threadless stem and chop down some risers.
Guyshoeing this thing because I swapped some things around, got it pretty much to my liking now. I could use a fancier seatpost, and the drivetrain is total balls compared to the nordavinden, but the bike itself is pretty dialed and really, really zippy.

Goddamn I love that bike.
That bike really deserves a modern(ish) group set. Throw some 10s era campagnolo on there and ride it into the sunset, I’ll even post you my 10s Record 175 alloy cranks with rings and square taper bsa BB for cost.
