Dammit: Post your bike

OK so tell us more? Like, what is this

It’ll be the next gen Polyvalent. We’ll have it in both step-through (Low Kicker) and diamond. Same clearances as the current model, but w threadless fork and 12mm TA.

Neat.

What’s the status of the Pass Hunter?

One more round of protos to confirm a few changes, then going into production.

Same size ranges and geometry for both?

I dig that color.

Yes. People have responded well to the geo and fit. And this solves some fit for shorter folks as well as people who may not have the flexibility to throw a leg over a diamond frame, but want the functionality and performance that this platform offers.

6* of slope means the stack will be taller on this gen compared to current? Is reach staying the same?

+1 on this topic
Especially since this bike is going threadless and general fits are all going to be trending towards upright / relaxed fit

Looks good otherwise!

also I really should have grabbed that tapered brass spacer, was unsure about it but it looks great

That is right.

The increased stack should alleviate any fit/spacer concerns. It seems that folks are pretty ok with using spacers instead of looking for the slammed look.

Waiting for that geo like…

Oh yeah, just noticed that the kickstand / background is throwing off my perspective on stack.

Since it’s the Polyvalent in a high and low version then keeping the head tube length the same makes total sense.

But

Spacers on a relaxed bike are always ok because there’s no other choice, and they always look like a kludge.

without making two versions, it’s real hard to have spacers or no. That’s the only advantage of the threaded headset/quill stem combo.

hmmm, if the 6* just makes up for the stack provided by the threaded headset is the fit really more relaxed?

I’m asking theoretically, I assume the goal is to keep the PV fitting about the same.

Basically this. The ultimate riding position will be the same between the two.

I am absurdly pumped on that seat tube.

Feeling really thankful I built a chill fixed cruiser last month because quarantine time is letting me relive my early 20s dreams of biking through empty city streets. Feels really bizarre to be downtown and have the streets to myself.

I think this is first ride on this bike since winter. Used my more dedicated flat bar commuter through winter (even without too much snow and salt this year). For first mile or two the 44cm bars felt hella narrow, as I got used to 800s on mtbs.
