Well I have had a chance to ride more than one for relatively long periods. A GT Grade which was okay and a BMC gravel bike which was horrible but thankfully is easy to sell at almost no loss given that they are completely unavailable.
I’ve ridden a lot of bikes but obviously you have ridden many more than me. If you know of a magic carbon frame that I can genuinely try – meaning say a century rather than a ride around the block – without buying I would love to hear about it. My experiences with carbon have been unpleasant enough that I wouldn’t risk buying another one.
ATMO the only real advantage carbon has is weight saving. But my first English is 13 lbs and this one is 15.7 with the pump and under 15 without. So even that isn’t really applicable.
First ride. Need to get seatpost slippage under control and something is funky with the headset. It’s either overtight or too loose. Feel like I maybe assembled it incorrectly. Fenders, lighting and a box of donuts are up next. Thanks for the rotors @Face.
Yeah trust me I know. I ride without a cell phone most of the time and even when I carry one I often ride in areas with no cell phone reception. So I carry 2 tublolitos, 2 CO2s, a tubolito patch kit, and a pump!
