You willingly watched that?

Nice!!

Head tube/steerer/stem section has too many diameters imo. But I’d just put a bag there and send it

Oh this is electronic. You really went all out. Sweet sweet

ā€œWatchedā€ might be generous. I put it on for background noise while working on bikes. But I definitely followed the plot and occasionally thought ā€œhow much money did they have to pay to get him to say that?ā€

I feel like this is the bike about which the phrase ā€œbeer can head tubeā€ was coined. The tt feels so tiny after so many years on an alloy bike.

Definitely went all out. I saved for like 5 years for this bike just so I could get an ultegra group. Of course, I end up buying it the year before ultegra will probably go full wireless.

It isn’t light.
But it fits very well. Or at least it will once I dial in the bar height. Bars are gonna drop by at least 1cm.
And it just feels like a very nice bike. Never ridden anything this nice before.

It’s really nice to be back on a road bike instead of a gravel bike with road tires.

Last night I was wondering if I was going to ride it today or do a last road ride on the niner before it becomes a dedicated gravel bike. Because the fit wasn’t quite right and I wanted to switch the wheels over from the niner. And Cornelia looked at me very sternly and told me in no uncertain terms that I was riding the new bike. I have a reputation for starting, but rarely finishing, bike projects and she wasn’t gonna let me do that to myself this time.

So I rode it with tubes in the tires and an unneeded rusty stack.

Fairlights are amazing. The owner of my LBS has one, and it’s gorgeous in person.

The designers are fastidious and thoughtful, and you really need to look through the 40-page PDFs to see all the details.

Congrats on the bike!

I envision a future where posts will feature product placement like The Mummy
2017, produced by Alex Kurtzman, Chris Morgan, Sean Daniel and Sarah Bradshaw. Distributed by Universal Pictures starring Tom Cruise.

I actually lied about paying import fees for this bike. I got it for free. There’s big money to be made in subliminal marketing if you’re cleaver enough.

Shit I blew my cover.

are you putting any paint protection film on it? hate to see cables or bags wearing thru the paint

I’ve thought about it. I’ve got a roll of helicopter tape that I can use strategically.

Oops, all electric minivelos

This has been rideable for months, but position/fit wasn’t ideal because saddle and bars were both about 1" too low. Longer spare chairpole from the Quick Haul and some Kyoot Pawsome bars (7.5" rise!) fixed that. 780mm wide bars are comically large for this bike, comfy tho. Super Moto tires were absolutely the right choice. This thing is fun as hell and it’s difficult not to ride it 20 mph everywhere. Probably the bike with the greatest chance to injure me.

That thing looks like it rips! You should take it over some tabletops!

Is that an Itty Bitty?

There’s a new skate park a few miles from my place. They say no motorized vehicles in the park but I bet I could sneak in early Sunday morning without a problem. Maybe I’ll even do the Kyoot thing and take the R/C car with me.

Yep! This was the second choice to a Neutrino but probably better for this use since it’s a bit more stout. Glad I got one, not sure if the Itty Bitty is coming back now that the Rolly Polly is out.

Rode this again for the first time in months. Some of the climbs got me thinking I should swap to a larger cog but then I hit 149 rpm going downhill so I don’t know.

Who made that? I had an Atala many years ago that looked just like that.
