that’s just more potential for customization

99% sure would have had Bontrager wheelie jawns. I sold these new and had a similar one myself. Dented the TT when I got off it once and went to lean it against a fencepost and it tapped the (round, wooden) post a bit too hard. Beer can head tube indicative of wall thickness of the rest of the tubeset!

2002 catalog says youre right. 24/28 bonty wheels.

is pubes just belopsky with a greater sense of self awareness?

the more I look at this bike the more I love it!

  • 16 spokes front and rear
  • bigass tubes but normie 9/8 headset because this was before bike companies would just go “fuck it, let’s make a new headset standard” once a year
  • weirdo short-lived removable spider Shimano cranks

and the (bong rip) what if the rim is actually a big hub flange inside out wheel lacing

Santana saw these and was like, yep those are perfect for our tandems!

Swap the wheels, fork (idk to what though) and cranks and you’ll have a bad ass cruiser atmo

I really want another one of these but I feel weird about how many of them I already own.

is it easy to take the carver logo off

I don’t know about the current version but all of mine are under a clear coat. I have thought about just masking and spraying the tubes.

would certainly be a deal breaker for me if not because holy ed hardy.

New logo is worse than the old one but it’s pretty cool that they are still making it in old mtb length

Sky Boyer.

I was on a fixed ride with his crew when I had my big fixie crash. A few people on that ride bought helmets after that, so I got that going for me, I guess.

They were in San Diego before Portland. Fixed scene here wasn’t cool enough, I guess.

He did have a crazy number of 90’s mountain bikes. The weirder the better. I wondered why he didn’t open up a museum, honestly.
