david clinger getting tattoos removed

how the fuck can this guy get his face tattoos removed? i wonder - is he gonna look fucked up forever, or is plastic surgery involved? link - not really a story

who would have thought this would be a bad idea:

that guy is more hardcore than all of us combined.

freaking face tattoos. wtf man.

Hardcore enough to get fired from Rock Racing…

Ok, since no one is cool enough to subscribe to print VeloNews, here’s the story:

Clinger was badass. He raced for Postal.
He got into drugs.
He got the face tattoo.
He got fired from HealthNet because of drugs and the face tattoo.
He went to rehab.
He rode for Rock.
Now he is getting the tattoos removed and it makes his face swell up so bad he can’t ride for days. It’s months worth of treatments.

What a stupid fuck.

from what I read a while ago he’s getting them removed to comply with sponsor requests, which is even worse than getting them in the first place.

Agreed.

not april fools?

this is a worse joke than the “pope is dead” prank from a few years ago

Way to make drug addiction look stupid.

Face tattoos and drug use go hand in hand? Who knew?

Tat removal is no joke. Shit is apparently more painful then getting them. But it involves teh lazers to it’s therefore badass.

Maybe if he would have gotten cooler looking face tats his sponsors wouldn’t want him to remove them.

Face tats of sponsors?

And who would have thought that you’d eventually regret facile tattoos? Huh.

cocaine is a helluva drug

unless they’re a cultural tradition, you probably can’t pull off facial tattoos

thanks for the cliff notes. what kind of drugs i wonder? performance enhacing or illicit? it seems like most cyclists pick cocaine when going for recreational drugs…

seems like having a laser burn skin off of your face would be a good pre-cursor to skin cancer.

They do face transplants nowadays. He should just have part of his face ripped off by a mountain lion, and then he could have the whole ordeal covered by insurance.
