Sierra’ing can be a bad thing for smallish niche businesses. It was one of the things that killed Poler, and it was really bad for Rumpl as well. People start viewing your products as cheap, and sometimes they’re right.

poler v1 was good for casual use when legit technical gear would have been too expensive or precious to fuck up around a campfire, but then they expanded and VC got involved and the quality got worse
