The general code for them is:

wheelsize - outside width - [XC or AM] - spoke count - [AS for asym]

Supposedly XC is 3mm sidewall, AM is 4mm wall, but I got a pair of the rims above that are XC and a set of the 53mm ones that are AM and theyā€™re both 4mm.

The House is also not known for being ā€œdetail orientedā€ so itā€™s possible these are actually AMs, but I donā€™t see any AMs in that size and at 375 grams I donā€™t really care anyway.

so the 700R stuff is likely rim brake? where did you find weight stats? inquiring minds want to know as one does not simply buy carbon rims for $70.

already bought a pair of the rims that you posted but if thereā€™s a good 700c option- iā€™m there

I believe R means rim brake but I donā€™t know much more than that. I only know the weight from measuring these ones.

between the ā€œRDā€ designation, and the picture ā€“ they seem to be a 15 mm deep disc brake Road rims. I had intent to buy some significantly shallower rims from light bicycle, but for 50 bucksā€¦ The price difference is basically another wheelset.
