Mine came like this. They were full of oil. Just plug and play if the hose lengths work. If not, I think they include an extra barb. I did a lever bleed after I hooked up the hose to the lever and got a lot of bubbles out.

one thing to note about those UR300 jawns is that they are native +20mm. On a bike with the flatmounts placed for 140mm rotors, they fit 160mm rotors without the 140->160 flatmount adapter. If it’s a bike with the mounts spaced for 160mm rotors, your minimum rotor size is actually 180mm.
oof thanks for the heads up on that, I’m kinda set on having 140R 160F wheelsets

We should probably be paying @adem for Shimano whispering services.

This is excellent news to me since I run my brakes moto.
I’ve bought four or five sets of shimano brakes and only the most recent ones came disconnected.

R7070, R8070, R9170, RX810, M7110, M8110, and M9110 are ceramic pistons. Tiagra 4770, RX400, R9270, R8170, R7170, RX820, and UR300 are resin pistons.
The UR300 calipers that some folks are talking about are a real bargain but if you care about using the pads with fins on them, look at 4770 or RX400.
Thank you for your service

oh ya so I found out that this is the case with these too.
RockShox, Shock Hardware, 8X30.0, 11.4118.091.823
is out of stock everywhere but one seller on ebay in the UK.
8x30.8 is in stock. I’m wondering if the 30.8 might be a replacement and whether it would fit…
I usually go slightly smaller. Since that is a carbon linkage, it might not spread very well.
Universal has a M8X30 bearing in stock.
And Fox will fit on a RS? I actually measure the gap at 29.5…
The majority of shock manufacturers use the same eyelet I.D.
I’m 99% certain Fox and RockShox are the same. I don’t have any nude eyelets to caliper at the moment.

thanks I got R8170 since that was available from the place I was ordering from
Yeah I bought Fox for RS cuz RS was out of stock.
I think they’re like headsets. You get the standard right and then you have a bunch to pick from that are all basically the same.

Well now I’m in touch with the defunct Ben Reid Racing Team because I saw a UK ebay account selling the piece and he sent me his phone number so I could save on shipping. If anyone wants some discounted mtb parts I can hook you up with a guy’s phone number (probably named Ben Reid?) lol

Are rake and offset the same thing?

superficially yes, but I bet an engineer or framebuilder will have some insight into how they have different ramifications when used.

Just looking at rigid forks for a frame that assumes a sue fork.

just back-of-the-napkining it: offset suggests that the fork leg is parallel to the headtube, rake suggests that it is not? This is my expert judgement from having read about bikes a lot, not like, the inner mysteries revealed to people who pony up a couple hundred bucks for a weekend framebuilding class or whatever.
