Didn’t think about media blasting getting the steel cleaner. There’s rust underneath a small area that chipped away, so the whole frame is probably rusty underneath the powder.
Thanks for the feedback, all.

Never let us have any fun…
Ah, sorry for directing you to the 26’ version. They also do a 700c with the same deal of both canti bosses and disc. No though axle though.
If you search gogol for “darkrock 700c touring steel” it is the 1st hit.
Well shit that’s it! Guess I gotta think about it now
Have all the fun you want.
My current dilemma as well. Problem is I don’t have much money to throw around and a new rim brake frameset is way cheaper than new frameset + new wheels & brakes.
I have a slow leak in a tubeless sidewall and adding tire milk doesn’t seem to be helping. Should I just replace the tire or
you could patch the site from the inside with a car tire patch if the tire is worth the trouble and if you have that kind of free time to maybe waste
I’ve heard that car tire boots feel pretty bad, like lumps it all up
Sew it up
A friend of mine uses this stuff inside his tires to patch leaks.
He seems to have pretty mixed results but maybe worth a shot
I’m all for DIY bullshit, but it seems like modern science hasn’t really tackled this problem yet, maybe just buy a new tire.
might depend on tire size, suppleness, and location but i didn’t really notice it in 650x48 mid grade tires
fair, my biggest tubeless tire is 700x32, in which you can really feel imbalances.
I guess with wider tires there’s more room to car tire boot or duct tape or ziptie a tire back together and hope that the sealant can work its magic

Normally, I would agree. But, that’s not going to help with a sidewall tear.
Fine you win, two tubes
Why’s he got my missing window screen in his boat
