Also tell me I don’t need one

Oh wait it’s flat mount never mind. I already have a flat mount frame in the cellar that I’ve done nothing with.

You don’t need a Wolverine, you have a Dew which is apparently the other Best Bike

It would be pretty dumb to cram some 20" knobbies into a folding bike and throw some big bags on it and ride through the woods, right? Cuz it sounds like the kinda dumb that’d be fun.

(I’m aware the All-Packa exists and I want one but maybe not right now)

I think it’s gone now but this one was up in their sale inventory a couple days ago. Was very into the orange.

Sounds like the right kind of dumb to me!

You should ask @arlew.

@arlew c’mon with it

I DID NOT

Anyone know if this site is reliable? Weird ordering process. @Blakey @jimmythefly?

Or should I just fuck off and 1x my hypothetical new mtb cause I actually think it would be cheaper.

No tangential experience with these, a friend used the Forward Components and the Exzentriker.

@igor how has your experience with First’s parts been?

I would much rather buy from Igor…I gave my friend heavy indications that I’m going to buy a frame he built and just learned it’s t47…honestly don’t even know what that means but I asume a bsa bb won’t do the trick

@yonderboy  my knobby 20” doesn’t fold but it was quite enjoyable to ride on singletrack. Keeping the weight that low made it more manageable than a bigger-wheeled bikepacking bike. But the small wheels will beat you up in their own special way so pick ur poison

I just noticed that on my SON hub (with centerlock rotor), when the brakes are fully engaged, I can rotate the wheel a little (~3-5mm) while the rotor remains still.

The centerlock interface already feels tight using an adapter any my little knipex.

Is this an issue of needing more leverage? Looks like Centerlock torque spec is 40-50nm.

Or is something possibly screwy with my hub?

It’s a carbon fork, but thanks for suggesting because on closer inspection I can see the hub moving just a little while the rotor is dead still in the calipers.

I suppose the answer is I need to find a proper torque wrench to ensure it’s tight enough, but I really snugged it down. :person_shrugging:
