Did you just ShartQ?

The Ritchey WCS Carbon Bullmoose Mountain Handlebar features a carbon fiber construction and a forged alloy clamp

I suppose I’d ask ritchey as well as to what it should be used on.

Also I messaged you about the unicorn if you want to sell it…

Can someone tell me what even this is? I do not understand all the parts or why. Seen in Bend, OR

Some dorks shitty fatbike.

Googled it. Super Chinese.

Why shitty though

It’s just an elaborate walmart bicycle shaped object.

The super-padded saddle isn’t exactly a vote of confidence for the suspension on that thing, and once you take the suspension away it’s just a heavy (and probably sloppily riding, because the ā€œsuspensionā€ is still there introducing planing into the ride) fatbike. And also if they cheap on the suspension they’re likely to have cheaped on every other component they could.

Dq: 18/24/32 x 32/44
Will this be shiftable?

Why not? The spacing between gears isn’t that bad; I get

       | 44 32
-------+----------------
     18| 59 43
     24| 44 32
     32| 33 24

As gear inches; there’s nothing that’s an insanely long jump, it’s just that the cogs start at what would be 3/4ths of the way up a regular cassette (and no I don’t know why the table has some of the entries in blue.)

I guess I’m wondering about 6-8t jumps. I haven’t seen that done.

You don’t see that very much these days, but there are 5-speed alpine freewheels floating around with super-wide gearing (I’ve seen 14, 18, 23, 30, 38 listed on ebay, which might be a typo but if not your gearing is no problem at all) and some of the 6 & 7 speed megarangeā„¢ freewheels have a 24->34 jump.

Thats a good point. Forgot about those mega ranges. Hmm maybe I’ll do it.

Shitty folding fat bike from the looks of it

Whoo, good thing that Ritchey bar is hilariously expensive, or I’d be jamming it on my P29er.

Kk thank you, I was trying to understand. It reminded me of Transformers somehow

I wonder if an oldschool dangler with parallel cage and offset top pulley would work better than a slant type for the 3sp megarange

Yeah I was thinking 9spd or even 8 cuz why not

Let’s talk Ultra Torque.

How bad is it to space the NDS arm out a few mm? I’d pull the bearing, spacer behind bearing and reinstall.

Won’t that reduce the hirth joint engagement considerably? Like, enough to not have it engaged.

BB width spec for UT (wave washer takes up the slack)

English thread 67,2 - 68,8

If your (eng) shell is less than 68.8mm, you could shim it up to that safely.
