Did you just ShartQ?

Is that the one at SeaTac park or is there one closer?

Yea sea tac is like 3 miles… but that is also the FAR disc golf course from my house… hint hint.

My buddy Trevor you met is also a disc golfer, we’ve been talking about playing sometime. I need to restock on discs and then I’m in.

apparently you missed this

I did miss that, u right

that is silly

The whole line is the shit. We’ve got full Slater setups on two bikes now.

nah, it’s definitely not this (but that’s actually a good tip- I didn’t realize they had gone to only one 2x RD). There’s also a page on the 3T blog talking about doing what I wanna do: SRAM Force AXS WIDE gearing hacks - Gravel Bike Tech - 3T Blog

basically: 43/30 chainrings and spider on standard width crank and 10-36 cassette with short cage RD. I guess if I’m already starting a wallet fire, I might as well try it and if it doesn’t work I just gotta buy one new part.

SQ hate to bring up 27.2 droppers again but is there any reason to believe that they are not suitable for a man of substance? I am not seeing any weight limits posted but they just seem kinda spindly up top

I’ve got a 100mm drop one that’s been fine. I think the short overall length helps.

sweet jimmy bike fits too

it is super helpful for the post to be buried in the frame

getting near the minimum insertion would be entirely unsuitable

One of the candidates is showing more post so maybe that’s out.

This is to try to get a Yepp Mini safely usable on one of my bikes

My Pugsley shows less post, longer reach, and wider Q so that’s probably the way to go.

New SQ how the hell do I figure out how much travel I need? Is there a formula?

I need a hitch rack for my highlander. It needs at least three spots, thinking four would be better, ideally it can fit two and add two more as needed, depending on how many bikes I want to carry.

Any recommendations for what should I get? I think I also want a swing-away bar to access the back.

I’ve never once used one of these things before.

Well on a MTB the general goal is to get as much travel as possible ATMO. Is the dropper so you can get a leg over without kicking oil shart?

Yeah, that’s the idea. But also I have doubts I can hop off the saddle to come to a stop, and then the saddle height is too high to put a foot down safely. I suppose I should just get out a tape measure and figure this out empirically, now that I think about it.

100mm works fine on my big dummy for stoplights with two kids on the back.

It might have to be the Big Dummy. I forgot about the extended seat tube and gusset on the Pugsley.

I was jacking around with the saddle height before I took a pic, it could maybe be 5-10mm higher, but there’s no way I’m finding a dropper that fits in there right?

Starting to get kinda pissy, this was supposed to be a light at the end of the tunnel of my first year of fatherhood and it is starting to look like either a complete fail or an expensive quagmire

This is every project ever.
You should get the dropper and tons of kid accessories for the Dummy and love dad life. :atmo:
