Did you just ShartQ?

$260 is commentary on the economy

That shit got expensive

Leftover bar pate and electrical tape atmo

i remember that price also being ridiculously expensive at the time for what the product actually is

Does anyone have a favorite Jones loop bar bag?

These two tickled my fancy

But the added utility of the Dr Jones is pretty sweet

I think the manufacturer definitely intentionally shifted the labor cost of adjusting the hubs to the shop.

I’ve been using the Randi Jo bag for a few years now. It’s good, no complaints. That extra webbing on the Rockgeist is cool tho if you aren’t going to have any other bags on the bike

The paint on my Breadwinner has seen better days. There are a couple concerning rust spots. Any recommendations for painters to strip (bead blast?) and refinish the frame? I’m not concerned about matching the existing paint scheme - I’ll probably go with just a single color.

And do I want Cerakote?

Roli is damn close to growing out of his 16" Cleary. He loved his 14" Woom so I thought another Woom would be great, but the 20" Woom has seven speeds and a dang dangler! It gives me pause because a six year old is immediately going to drop the bike on the drive side and break the thing clean off!
Seems to me that a 3 speed IGH would be more appropriate for a kids bike, but I guess a dangler is way lighter.

Do we know of any good kids bikes that have 20" wheels, IGH and no damn coaster brake? There’s a kid at school with a black 20" Cleary with IGH, but Cleary seems only to sell to the China/Taiwan market these days. Or maybe(definitely) I’m just internet stupid and can’t find the USA page.
This would be perfect!

DQ can you put a derailleur guard on it?

The Spec Hot Rock we had came with one of those.

my kid has had an islabike with a dangler for a year now and hasn’t dropped it on the dangler yet. he just turned 7. of course you know if your kid is a dangler -dropper or not

at least if the dangler does get bashed it’s like $15 and 15 mins to replace it with a brand new one

a dangler hangler protector can save you $15 and 15 minutes or more on dangler insurance

use a dangler wrangler, save your dangler hangler from a hangler mangler

there’s an alternate universe where the geico gecko is friends with the lizard skins lizard and starts a company to provide discount bicycle insurance

and then they get in with the primal wear frog and sponsor a lizard/amphibian team

I think I’ll just buy a couple spare hanglers when I buy the bike and hope for the best.
Rol is definitely a hangler mangler.

takes after his dad, the Dropper Stopper

My 7 year-old’s bike is a 1x and she’s dropped it a fair bit but it hasn’t been a problem. IGH kids bikes seem super rare but I wanted to make sure she had gears, because she struggled even on flat mild offroad trails with her previous singlespeed.

FWIW, I did switch out the shitty stock grip shifter for a Microshift trigger shifter. She didn’t have the hand strength to work the grip shifter. I don’t know why they put these on every kid’s bike.
