Did you just ShartQ?

Yeah the gearing did come into the question, I’ll let her know she has options if it seems too mid range after she gets some time on it

Also in PDX you just don’t need that much gear. There’s always an easy way and the steep hills are generally pretty short, at least on the east side of the river. The west hills are a different story.

eh, the hazing here has felt forced for years (and isn’t nearly as severe nowadays). I fully support trolling first posts being in marketplace tho

I’ve never hazed much. But maybe I should? What does it do for you?

I have seen it used to run off new members that don’t match with tarck on a personality level.

It’s a leftover from pretending to be an in group. Mostly I support talking shit about bikes.

I did

Ok I’ve asked this at least once before, but what are the desirable brake pad replacements for Hayes CX mech dicks?

I bought oem. They’ve lasted fine and don’t cost too much more than anything else.

I’ve used Jagwire and OEM and both were fine. I have some Clarks in my box that I’ll use next.

Heyoo, I have a Kona Coco and just got a 24-pack rack from Surly. What are some cool steps I can take to mount it? Because no crown eyelet.

You could probably attach it through the brake/fender bolthole in the center of the crown (piggybacking the fender on it) though it might make it a bit wigglier that it would be with two crown mountpoints.

the folx at the shop were saying it’d come with the hardware to do that, it’s what we were planning, but I’m not seeing any provided hardware for that trick.

It looks like the crown shoulder mounts are clamped into a shackle on the rear perimeter, yes? You’d have to get some of your own hardware (if the crown is high enough I’d get a fairly long m6 bolt, then thread the bolt through the shackle & through the crown (with locking nuts sandwiching the crown to hold it into position)) but not having the crown mounts permanently attached to the perimeter gives a lot of flexibility there.

And also, if you’re close enough to pdx and need some sort of custom fitting to attach it, bring it on over™ and I can braze up a mounting adapter thingie for you.

Thanks orc for the offer on the braze, i didn’t know you’re in the area.

We’re trying to find 2" insulated p clamps in town

Hey thanks for the offer, we’ve been hardware storing it up looking at fasteners. Think some insulated cable clamps might do the trick, still workin on it

Debating keeping my cagro bike outdoors at least until the snow starts falling. I would seriously ride it more and keep my shitty summer fitness longer into winter if I didn’t have to schelp it up and down a short stairwell each time. Anyone got a recommendation for a waterproof cinch cover? Motorcycle ones wont be long enough can car seems overkill. I could just tarp it but I’d rather something that will require the least futzing.

i dont see why a moto cover for something massive like a goldwing wouldn’t work.
what’s the proposed parking spot look like? can you make a canopy with a tarp?

Beside a back porch. Tarp is functional but just a hassle to tie down and keep from blowing off every time I park. I’m gonna check out some quad/atv covers, I’m just not sure something for a motorcycle would work, this bike is like 9 feet long.
