Y’all should tell them about tarck.

They got some pretty good content over there but NuTarck user interface is about a million times better than Slack.

we’re busy moving some business functions out of work slack and into other things, because melee threads are great at dropping things like service requests on the floor

Do i want Sh-56 or Sh-51 SPD cleats for my Shimano XT Trail pedals?
I can never remember the difference

how easily do you want to unclip? 56s are the ā€œMā€ multi-release that let you unclip to the inside (possibly vertically?) as well I think

Oh, I guess unclipping when its not desired is less appealing. I will go with the 51, thanks.

yeah, the multi-release was super confusing for me when I tried it. I’m sure I could have gotten used to it, but I’m not positive why I would want to.

I bought a pair of those by accident once and they were indeed weird. I got used to them, but also I replaced them before they were dead.

Any reason why Abby shouldn’t get a 2018 Kona Coco if it’s hitting all the marks?

No bottle mounts, but we can work around that

The lack of a hazing ritual is certainly less offputting.

I’ve always preferred the SH-56; way easier to bail out of on the trail. I’ve never had issues with undesired unclipping. Folks coming from SPD-SL or other road systems seem to prefer SH-51, though.

I’m gonna be completely honest with you:

That thing looks fucking dope

Yeah. That looks pretty great for small money.

I also saw a similar bike that Masi is blowing out. Not sure if you live a place that requires more than a 1x drivetrain but this has a triple which might be overkill.
Also 100 bucks more. Pretty much same color:

Edit: whoops, noticed you mention 2018, didn’t realize you gotta click the year up at the top to show the 2018 yellow one instead of the burgandy 2019

Love that masi too. It has nicer fenders

She bought the Kona, it’s solid as fuck, sub bong bikes are so much better than they were ten years ago

Ain’t that the truth. Wonder how its impacting used bike sales?

I hardly sell any used bikes anymore because cheap new bikes are so good

Selling used bikes sucks now. I tried to sell a few and all lowballs. I just kept them.

That Kona is rad, but a low gear of 39/32 isn’t actually all that low. I used a lower gear to climb the hill on my way home today. Would be better with a wide range cassette (or gears in the front, but that’s not on-trend).
