What’s the Tarck consensus on frame saver?
Just went to start building my frame and realized I did not plan ahead on that one. Turns out local shops don’t carry the JP Weigel/Problem Solvers stuff. WD-40 makes a corrosion inhibitor that I can get today and a MTBR thread says it works better.
Anyone have any experience with this stuff?
Did boeshield on one of my bikes and it was a sticky mess. Just yolo the WD-40 stuff because in the PNW I don’t think it’s critical like maybe some other places.
DTSwiss definitely sells both front hubs and complete wheels in 12x110
yep basically just to validate PVD’s fever dreams with parts availability
you can get CRC 06026 almost everywhere
as a standard small marine thing instead of for bike freaks
I’m at Arby’s right now and they don’t have it
sir this is a wendys
What’s the 650X42 tire that I want that isn’t made by panaracer?
G one allround 650b40 measured about 42 for me
The Donnelly Strada USH is ok. IRC Boken is probably the best smooth/hybrid tread. I think Panaracer makes all the slicks in this size. I gave up on it for this reason.
These are all the models I could find back in December:
Can I use this as a SS chainring for 3/32 chain ? Doesn’t seem obviously ramped to me. https://www.cycle-logic.biz/product/sram-mountain-steel-chainring-380338-1.htm
should work fine. modern narrow wide stuff also works fine with 3/32 (have an nx 1x11 crankset on my dirt jumper with a 3/32nd chain).
But be aware of my recent tale of woe regarding G-One Speeds. I’m waiting to hear back on a warranty claim now.
The Donnelly Strada USH are intriguing.
there’s a Marathon Supreme in that size now
I think with the fancy rubber, but not advertised as tubeless
There is some Teravail and Pirelli stuff in that size if you want tubeless.
Absolutely recomend
