Did you just ShartQ?

I have a couple of pieces of Castelli kit that don’t suck, so there’s that.

The black kit, yeah. My bibs from that kit have finally given up.

Ultrasonic cleaner owning tarckers such as @halbritt iirc… Should I bother with an ultrasonic? If so what size should I get?

What are you cleaning? They’re great for chains and cassettes and other parts with spaces difficult to get into and clean. Two caveats though:

Anything you clean will need to be relubricated and the ultrasonics ain’t a panacea. Works well, but doesn’t perform miracles.

As for size you want it to be no smaller than the biggest part you want to clean and as big as you can afford to buy/store. Bigger units have more power and heating capacity.

Kk, looking to clean drivetrain and brake bits to start but also thinking about stuff that might be bigger, chainsets or whatever. Thanks :+1:

Is Arundel’s Looney Bin still the cage-of-choice for odd-sized bottles and/or under the downtube?

Would it be real dumb to try and gut this crappy old sram pusher puller to work as a dropper lever?

Yes so you should do it

Ok, if this works, it’ll be way more fun than a wolf toot

Not much to this thing.

Could you make an indexed dropper? Like stepped drops based on shifter position?

the original 9point8 dropper had micro-stepping

if you pulled the cable a little instead of a lot, it would drop 5mm at a time

They thought it was a really great idea and then when they started making a regular non indexed dropper it outsold the indexed one by a huge margin so they eventually discontinued it.

Also 9point8 sucks and I won’t ever buy their shit.
