Works as advertised. I’ve got one on the NM and the Surly Big Dummy.
My money is on Kinlin
Possibly? Looks like a ~24mm deepish V
yeah good deal for deadending. if imma buy more deadender stuff it has to be ~perfect~, even if my current daily ride is rim brakes with a black/red motif
perfect? not a CK ![]()
Maybe the wrong thread but anyone have recommendations for wide shoes? Preferably 2-bolt but anything that fits my duck feet is fine. I know Lakes do not work for me. ![]()
Sidi does wide (mega)
Bont
The XT Di2 shifter (left one that controls assist level) is not working right - it doesn’t click sometimes when I try to shift. It’s not sticky really, but I have to kind of work it back and forth to get it to change levels.
Is this the sort of thing I would be safe to spray some contact cleaner in there or should it go to the shop?
I have this stuff that’s for cleaning electronic derailleurs too.
Yeah, given how narrow their normal width shoes are though I suspect their wide wouldn’t be wide enough for me. But won’t hurt to look at them.
That’s what I thought too, but it looks like they got narrower over time? I remember seeing them years back and thinking they looked like flippers, and now they just look like regular shoes.
Maybe? I switch between Bont Riot+ and Fizik [super fancy ultra lite velcro], and the Bonts feel much wider.
You can also order different sizes pairs direct from the company, which I’m considering doing as one of my feet is a few mm wider than the other
There’s some older discussion of wider shoes in this thread:
Have you looked at Specialized?
Fizik and Shimano are too narrow for me, but Specialized is just right. If I did Bont, I’d probably do the custom fit.
Seems like the most likely option, both because they’re said to run wider than other brands, but also because there isn’t a Bont/Fizik/Sidi/etc dealer within several hundred miles of me. ![]()
Sadly I’ll still probably have to drive an hour+ to find some place that has wide ones in stock but if they fit it will be worth it.
Given that there’s really only a couple switches in there, I’d hazard a guess and say yes. I’d do it.
I recall Northwave being pretty danged wide.
I have wide feet. My off road shoes are sidi mega and my road shoes are shimano wide. Both fit really good.
I have wide feet and a pair of sidi megas
yeah my foot is narrow and the northwaves i tried were like wearing Crocs
I have wide and very flat feet. The Giro Ventana (with Superfeet insoles) have kept me happy for the last 2 years. I also have a pair of wide Lake MX238s in a weird dress shoe brown, but they give me foot cramps so I keep going back to the Ventana. Sidi megas and Giro HVs were lacking in wideness when I tried them 10 years ago.
