Oh whoops just bought a Zee
it might just work with the 38/28 difference
if it doesnāt you can buy the cage plates from other shimano MTB10 danglers as cheap factory spare parts to swap it out
the clutch assembly is a bit tricky, one of the times I did this I bent the spring and had to buy another from a similar spare parts seller
Oh shit, missed the 2x part of that. If you bought the SSW version, we could talk a trade for a medium cage M786.
Thankfully it was from Uncle Jeff so I was able to cancel and buy the M786 instead.
Now I just gotta figure out which stupid pusher to get.
what size - I have a drawer full of front derailleurs
Pretty sure I need a 28.6 bottom pull pusher
Iāll look tonight
Iāve got one arriving today!
i probably have shins if anyone needs
^ thereās an arm and a leg joke in there somewhere
Theyāre missing in new mexico
iām gonna leave it.
Woohoo!
Came out easy peasy with an extractor.
Thanks for the advice yāall. Installing the new nuts now. No more excuse to not race.
we did it! high fives all around.
FYI I have a set of left hand bits so just let me know dude. Iāve also got some extractors.
Thanks for the offer. I have really been wanting a set of my own and stoked to have them.
How about a rivnut kit though? Iām thinking of putting a rivnut into the fork leg on the tiny bike instead of trying to fix the dropout braze-on. I was gonna message you to see if you had the stuff.
I have a metric one at work we can use.
New SQ: front wheel on the cross bike has a tiny bit of play in the hub. Itās a Stans 3.30. I looked for hub adjustment but there but couldnāt find any. The axle caps on either side spin independently.
Where do I adjust?
What QR do you have? Iāve definitely seen cases where a shitty external cam QR isnāt actually tightening things down to spec.
If you have access to a Shimano QR test with that first.
