FOOTBALL and the "fixxie way"

Don’t know what to make of this:

http://www.bicycling.com/article/0,6610 ... hani_jones

I prefer this kind of football player to the other sorts I have encountered, but I frown on the gratuitous use of the f word.

This is old news - he’s been riding fixed longer than half the posters here.

Someone back on SSFG actually built and sold him that Steamroller in Cincinnati.

Anyway, what’s there to be unsure about? Are you upset because he plays a sport that you (maybe) don’t care for? I think it’s awesome when A) someone lives car-free, B) that person shatters stereotypes about how people in his position are supposed to live.

Iunno, I read this a few months ago and while he seems unfamiliar with bikes, he seems like a good guy.

Quite possibly even messed in the 90s.

We should invite him to the forum!

he seems like a nice guy with good intentions who enjoys riding his bike.

How did he get those thighs into chrome knickers? Also, I like his Cuba shirt.

Oh, but that “fixie way” stuff sounds dumb, but he’s a football player, so what do you expect?

Bicycling probably asked him to say “fixie” as much as possible.

Mmmm. You just read my mind, sailor.

I think it’s totally awesome, but the overuse of the F-word and the “F-word Way” made me squirm in my chair a little.
Most football players make me loose a lottle faith in humanity, but this one restores some of that.

cool flip-flop hub brah!

Old news!

Hes a strong rider and used to mess back in the 90’s.

you’re all dorks

Your face is a dork!

Sounds like he rides for the right reasons and probably cares a whole lot less about the trends that come and go with cycling that many here get caught up in.

I bet he can sprint like a motherfucker.

The only bad thing is… well his team hasn’t won a damn game this season. Making tarck look bad.

I need to try to get him to come to the alleycats and race.

We’ll all be dominated

yeah this

and he rides with a brake too even though his legs could probably stop an 18 wheeler
