How terrible are these:
I haven’t had anything PI in ages but my old pair of Garneaus are wearing out. As long as they are still warmish when they eventually get wet I’m happy.
i’ve had two pair of PI “winter” gloves
not sure how they compare to what you posted but fuck em both
7:30 am and it’s 52 degrees…in (basically) January. Wth…
Fukka PI.
I’ve got some PI somethingorothers and I’m meh about them. They’re windproof, but not warm enough below 0˚C to wear without liners and if it’s hovering around 0 and they get wet they’re a fucking nightmare.
i normally wear a size small (i have some endura gloves that are medium but what the fuck is up with that sizing). i’m going to look around and just deal with the one day of totally below 30 weather next week.
I ordered some wool socks from dahlgren awhile back…been riding with them and have enough miles to say they’re awesome. way better than smartwool or whatever.

Offer stands for anyone that wants them. They’re in the goodwill bag for now
I’ll bite. I’m always interested to try new ways of keeping my hands warm.
I got some of those new Castelli Polare winter bib jams. They’re made from that same kind of wind stopper fleece they use in the Stelvio and Mortirolo jackets on the front side and body, with roubaix on the back sides on the legs. Super toasty, first tights I’ve had where my wiener doesn’t turtle in the 20s. The down side, is that much like PI amfibs, not much stretch going on. I had to get XL to fit over the power legs.
turtled weiner is natures way of saying you’re adapted to being a badass
I’ve been riding louis garneau tornado gloves for the past month and a half or so. So far so good. Had my first mid-teens degree commute with them the other day and i’m glad to say the hands stayed comfortable. If you find them on sale i’d say they’re worth taking a look at.
Why is it 40* out today?
I’m gonna go ride my road bike. WTF
^Just did that myself, saying WTF the whole way.
Mid fifties here today. Did a 18 mile MTB ride in the broiling heat. FML…

First BIG snow of the season in the Midwest and it’s…pretty mild. The record for latest snow was Jan 20, 1887, and we missed it by 9 days. Took the Bridgestone out into the fray, got stopped by a few walls of wind, accumulated a nice frost on the beard, and was otherwise pretty okay. On my way back I saw my housemate, who has been off bikes for a while, heading out on his bike, so that was great to see.
Totally spaced on putting studded tires and plastic pedals on. It’s January 11, you’d think my winter bike would be prepared by now.

It’s like 20 out and snowing. Can’t wait to ride after class.
i’ve been riding studded tires on dry pavement for 6 weeks now, but man it felt good being able to shred through a couple of inches of snow these last couple of days.
