Tachyon crew I’m coming at you

DQ: What’s the rear hub spacing?
135mm on my purple nurple.

My 90s GT triple triangle count is about to increase. Tachyon shops bike, Force SS ladybike currently, with an Edge on the way.

you can flip it too!

the quill part is separate, and actually has a quill at each end, one for the steerer and the other for the threadless clampless steel stem

Ahh, thank you. Mine didn’t have the stem and I was wondering how you effected the flippage.

Well I picked it up today and it’s kind of a basket case. It’s purple, has funky dual quill in black. It was sourced from some GT warranty return parts stache, it has a (surprisingly colormatched) 700c hybrid fork and the u-brake has been filed up to barely hit a 700c rim. Any bright ideas for getting this fork to play with 650b?? QBP does stock a 1" thread-less hybrid dick brake fork. Halp.

700c canti fork isn’t gonna take a 650b wheel, period. 1" disc would be cool, though

get your framebuilder to move canti studs, while he’s picking out your bartape color

Thinking this jawn, 44mm rake and 399mm axle to crown. Anyone know the dimensions of the proper fork?

will measure mine later today.

(how do you measure a forks?)

Axle to crown along a straight line. Dunno how to measure rake. Maybe a meter stick lined up with the steer tube and a ruler to measure from that to the dropouts?

rake shmake, mostly interested in keeping the hta somewhat in specish. I rode it yesterday with the 700’s in and the handling felt fine with the fork that’s on it now fwiw. BTW the front wheel that came with it has a nuke proof hub, score.

Here is the Arette that came into the shop a couple of weeks ago with the purple herpes boner stem. INB4 NDS Fail.

Hellllllz yeah

I see you work @ Fairly Spoken.

damn. sup with the black stays on the first xizang?

they’re steel

saw a tallbiked one of these in pdx — triple triple triangle!

was rad and very well implemented, but the dude admitted regretting it since it was so rad beforehand

That exact version (1991) Avalanche has been for sale on Seattle Craigslist for a while. Dude said he’d take $150 for it. I told myself it was too small for me because I don’t need another vintage MTB project, but soo tempted.

tachyon, 58TT, purple with the good stem and fork on ebay in NY

That thing is tempting me.
