I love my Bell Faction because it’s sparkly pink and crap but it’s really hot. I have a Giro Transfer too but it’s ugly. So I ride without a helmet a lot. Yeah.
Giro Transfer (I’m cheap), but I always forget to grab it when I’m walking out the door, I really need to work on not being an idiot.
is there a problem with wearing skateboard type helmets when riding? i have a 686 i wear at the skatepark and dont feel like dropping moar moneyz on another helmet
If you don’t mind the lack of ventilation, they will likely work for most if not all possible crashes (some aren’t safety rated up to par with bike helmets or something). But with summer coming up fast I can’t imagine wearing one for very long.
bell slant, its nice. logos come off really easy, looks decent and is awfully comfy/cool on my head.
gyro xen. light and comfortable, and it doesn’t look too bad.
I’ve got a Giro Flak with the logos sanded off. Low profile, flat black, and it doesn’t seem to get me too hot and/or bothered.
same here. seems like the one that looks most like a skate helmet but with vents. atmos looks cool though.
Giro Ionos. I rode to work with my boss a couple weeks ago and he quietly yelled at my ass for not having a helmet on, told him I was gonna get a nice one as soon as I could afford it, about an hour after arriving at work I saw this brand new Ionos stuffed under my bike. He’d gone to the LBS and bought it for me. $225!!! Still feel like a mushroom headed dork wearing it but damn I feel bad if I don’t.
A cyclist got hit by a cager yesterday and died from his head injuries because he wasn’t wearing a lid, so I feel a little better with it on now. My gf says better a live dork than a dead hipster anyways and I guess she’s right (Damn I hate it when she’s right!)

I have a giro havoc. It’s comfy, well ventilated, doesn’t look too nerdy and I like the roc-loc adjuster thing. It’s pretty beat though, its covered with stickers, I spilled paint on it, the pads are falling apart and its got a bunch of dents from being dropped, clipped to my bag, locked up with my bike, etc. probably time for a new lid.

White Giro Atmos. I don’t wear it enough but when I do it’s lovely. Oh and it doesn’t make my head look like a gigantic penis (anymore than shaving it does).

The Havoc is nice but the Atmos is just killer. It feels like I’m wearing nothing at all.
the limar 720 just came in from chainlove so i wear that.
wish i could have got the 911. it just looks slightly “cooler”

Go with the 360 if your current helmet is in proper working order and safe. Puzzle Quest is awesome, Penny Arcade And The Rainslick Precepit of Darkness is really funny.
