Stupid sexy Flanders.
Rudy Project Skurya. Bug net!
Bell Alchera, I had a Bell Alchera before it, and plan to buy an other bell Alchera.
I just broke my second Xen on Saturday. I have a third one on order to replace it.
Catlike Kompact Pro from ebay. Pricey, but damn if it isn’t the sexiest looking helmet out there right now. I decided to splurge a little and get a low-profile helmet so I’d be more inclined to wear it all the time. Super light as well at only 260g. I also have a bern brentwood but it feels ridiculously heavy and hot in comparison. It has been relegated to strictly winter/inclement weather use now.

if only I had 335…
thanks for the info, DAD

Don’t you sass your father, young man.
Any suggestions on how to get a Catlike Kompact shipped to a US address. Fell in love with them off PBK, but they don’t ship to the US and a quick ebay and google search turned up nothing. If not, looks like the Giro Atmos is a winner.
There’s one guy putting a few up on ebay occasionally for a tidy premium.
I’m pretty sure Probikekit ships to US addresses, though. I had no problem with buying from them last year – only took a little over a week to come, too. I was planning on buying a Kompact Pro next paycheck from either them or Prendas (who also ship to the states), but looks like they’re both out of stock of the white L’s now.
Luckily, I’ve got a cousin in the UK coming over next month for a holiday, so I might just get her to bring one over in her suitcase.
My sis is getting me a lid for my birthday. Lowend Giro, Bell, or Specialized because that’s what her store carries (well, they carry the high-end too, but I’m a crappy brother so yeah). I’ve pushed my luck far enough, so I’ll be wearing it!

They don’t ship Catlike helmets to the US.
You can get them here, though: http://prendas.co.uk/list.asp?typ=typ&ID=25
^^ beautiful. thanks a lot.
Got a white Giro Atmost a week or two ago. Stoked cuz it fits my head real nice and is pretty light. I’m wearing it on training rides, commuting to/from the track (suburb drivers love cyclists… sike) and at the track. Haven’t used it much just riding around town yet, probably should more though…
Edmund White’s after his crash at Kenosha 2 weeks ago. Good to see such an awesome helmet do it’s job.
http://flickr.com/photos/ewwhite/edit: Oh, and I haven’t left on my bike without my helmet in about a month. Yay! I’m thinking about cutting my hair a little bit shorter because I can’t deal with the heat!
So how do you guys go about sizing up which helmet would fit? I really want the Kompact but obviously I can’t get my hands on one prior to ordering. A helmet kinda seems like something you’d need to try on first, so anyone that didn’t walk into an LBS and buy one, share your secrets please.
I had a Lazer Blade for a while and it was super comfy.
Just got a LAS Kripton. Full bug netting/padding. The foam doesn’t get anywhere near your head. I almost always have a gap at the sides on helmets and they move around because of it. This one had a little gap but stays put. I tried the atmos and pneumo, but the tiny little pads they give you weren’t doing it for me. It’s been plenty cool in this atlanta summer.
My friend just got a Spiuk Nexion. Almost the exact same helmet as my LAS.
I want a Catlike Whisper Plus so bad I would kill all of you for one.
Everyone loves that Whisper Plus but I gotta say, before I got a Atmos I was really lusting after this Catlike…
too bad it’s next to impossible to get in the States. Whisper Plus and Kompact Pros are far easier…
i just got this large influx and it looks like ass. I’m sending it back for an Alchera. Can anyone tell me if alcheras look decent?
