The new version of the ANVL Tilt also does the same thing, if replaceable pins are more your jam.
I am not sure any more than other BMX or MTB pedals are offset.
@yonderboy which same thing? Looks like the eclat pedal gets quite close to the threads in width, which is the main marketing point I took away.
Yeah, that’s a bit further inboard than I initially glanced. The Tilt has an extra bushing in there.
I wonder what both pedals would measure in terms of Q.
That’s kinda what I was getting at. Crank arm clearance is pretty huge on street BMX cranks. They don’t have to worry about heel rub; they’re mostly concerned with ankle clearance.
I’m pretty sure the Shimano DXR is still the standard for the racing set. That’s a more Tarck-centric crank than a freestyle crank.
as a proud, card-carrying, member of the ankle smashing bmx community, I agree. I’ve never had a set of cranks that I didn’t smash my ankles on at the spindle, In reality, any crank that would be able to provide ankle clearance would have its strength questioned. We may not take as big of drops as DH guys (well, most of us, pros withstanding), but our 2.4" tires are also at 75-100psi. My wrists hurt hyping this.
my wrists are still fucked 10 years later. but goddamn it was fun.
also none of the drops you take have any suspension beyond elbows and knees (and wrists, as part of the linkage driven suspension. yes i know that’s probably not correct, but they do help use your elbows)
Can we start a club?
Big foot club…
For people at least 6 inches taller than the average height for their sex
Hey, nobody makes my size, but I’m short. I just have a stupid wide foot that spills over the edges of normal shoes.
I turned some awful campy pedals I’ll never ride into some shiny pedals I’ll never ride. When I bought the bike these came on they were missing the toe clips, lol. Exterior was corroded and the retainer bolt was seized. Could make for a nice bottle opener, or a small addition to the china carbon fund.
(I’m still working on the new bike build but needed a break from futzing with the shift cabling)
I think those campy pedals used to be worth a mint on eBay in the fixie days. Might still be but idk.

kind of into these for a soft fuckaround pedal in street shoes
I’d fuck with those barefoot on a boardwalk
Oh! They come in TAF!
I think I just found out why I got these for free, other than a cracked spindle.
Yes, there’s one on each side and yes they rattle. +A prank on the dude that gave them to me, wonder how long he was chasing that rattle.
is it a little brass spoke head washer trapped on the tension setscrew?
Stainless m5 washers. Like brand new now.
ok - I like my Fookers but they’re destroying the soles of my Birkenstocks. (The real solution is to pick a different shoe, but I like my dorky corky boys, so I’m looking for new pedals.)
Is there a Tarck-approved pedal with plastic pins? Are they all basically the same? I had a set of BSD Safaris that blew up after a year or so, which I wasn’t mad about cause they were $20. Anything better?
These are pretty ok
