Hey, what's your Sundeal?

From a quick tape measure look at the 50 something tooth cassette on the wife’s blackborow you’re more likely to scrape the rd on the ground than anything else

My current edgerunner with a long cage dangler is very close to both hitting the tire and dragging the lower pulley on the ground. You might have to figure out how to run a 9 of 10. Doubt anyone has any real world experience with this group.

on the plus side: you might be the first person to build a 20" wheel with Shimano 12speed micro spline hub.

And to start referring to the dangler as the dragger

def been done with XD, but this is uncharted, albeit very similar territory

go slow, turn left (because if you turn right you scrape the dangler)

See, THIS is where Cannondale’s ai offset rear end would make sense.

In the edgerunnner case, you could just do it because with that wheelbase you’ll hardly notice.

Problem solvers probably makes a kit to turn this into a mini-tall bike

aww dang, of course that’s why it’s affordable with a non-garbage cassette

definitely do not need to be assembling a QR microspline hub

really building a wheelset at all defeats much of the purpose

ok I remembered I own an unridden Shimano 12 speed bike and a tape measure

with a 2" tire in the middle of the cassette it would barely clear the ground at vertical

in the 51t cog the pulley cage would drag on the side of the rim at 4-o-clock even without a tire mounted

I went ahead and did this for $122 plus tax

Would you be able to even keep the bike up while pedalling the big cog? That’s like 13" with a 20" wheel.

I was thinking that the 48 x 12-36 was tall for Seattle especially as a loaner and cargo

but taking it for a real ride yesterday I think 42t is gonna be enough, especially if use a slightly smaller chainring with the addition of an 11t small cog

Where is that? Looks fun.

That crossing is right by this pin, and there’s trails that connect east to 20th Ave where there’s an old road bridge back north and then a pedestrian bridge south to a long stairset

You might have gone past my place. Haven’t attempted taking a bike into thornton creek though
