the other option was Wald #952 “Middleweight” fenders
but maybe those don’t get made anymore

Whatever tiny Wald fenders I looked at last year were listed as weighing 13 lbs. Maybe that’s total shipping weight with all the packaging, but I didn’t really want to find out.
60mm SKS Bluemels might be an option from Euroland. I could only find the 50mm ones stateside.
Planet Bike sells individual 20” fenders that costs more than the VO option.
I got some Wald fenders a while ago thinking that they’d go on my 80s mtb. Not only did they weigh about 6lbs, but they wouldn’t fit between the stays or under the fork crown. Good thing they were only $30.
I have a set of 20” Wald fenders. The front one is woefully short. I keep meaning to swap the rear one on, but haven’t gotten around to it.
They are chromed steel and may in fact weigh 13 pounds with the stock hardware. I used VO hardware.
I’ve got a single rear Wald 20" fender somewhere, hope it’s still in my friend’s garage
whatbars.com but in Katu-specific priceway and rises
which to get?
I have the Dimension high-rise in 100mm riseway on mine. They’re very very similar to the stock bars, a little more back sweep, about the same rise, and about 35mm wider. I like them, but very marginal gains if you want something different.
think I might try shorter rise?
I have a longer stem incoming
Cool cool.
Whatever makes that stem work is the right decision, obviously.
Well it’s sold. It better have been sold to Fred.
this dangler with the non-offset 11-46 cassette clears the Katu situation perfectly
but the 116 link chain does not even come close to working with these long chainstays and a 53t chainring, it starts to lock up in the 7th cog
I bought one of these guys, hopefully the two companies did similar wacky shit for their modern-standard 8s ebike drivetrains (this is 10s inner width?)
this is the dithering i live for.
i was planning on throwing on an Apex w X5 trigger but will hang by to see how this works out
is anyone else’s included kickstand really short?
mine can barely hold the bike up unloaded, and definitely won’t work with a bag
yes, replaced with this katu priced piece of junk
works really well
I didn’t get a kickstand with mine and bought that same thing, works well.
My kickstand is an awesome heavy duty thing that I high center on constantly. Looks like the Amazon link but more solid.
Oh shit I totally did get a kickstand with mine and it was so terrible that it was completely forgotten about until I saw it today in a box of stuff to donate.
I ordered the cheapo Amazon thing
this also looks pretty nice as a single legged option
thoughts on these? havent measured but theyre probably too small for my BMX tires
@igor when do you restock?
Getting a shipment around mid-June.
damn thats a good kickstand name.
