I think the clear answer here is that it raises the value of the bike, so that price point might be a bit of a red herring
And can I get a remote that matches my falcon friction thumb shifter
Does your current frame set have disc tabs on the fork or frame? I am interested in acquiring it for dithering purposes when it’s available.
Does not. But Youre first in line if I done hang onto it
I would guess the shop isn’t letting you get it back.
the fork and rasket are the valuable parts that they are least likely to care about
My warranty the shop was cool about it, I was like “I want to make a bottle opener from the dropout, breaker bar extension from the tubes”.
They might only need to show orbea a picture of the frame cut in half or a dropout cut off or something.
Or maybe the seat tube being bifurcated.
Alternate wacky idea, replace most of the seat tube with a 31.8mm carbon tube / ISP. SS and TT junction points stay the same and are bonded to the carbon tube. BB junction too. Consult with an engineer to make sure the tube won’t fail in compression at the TT.
don’t even need to bond anything. If you put a tube in to spread out the pushing from the tt and then put in the seatpost regular you should be ok.
No seat post, only topper.
tbh the katu would be much better if it was fully carbon
this is a $1000 idea that i would like to offer up to someone
Kinda wishing I still had access to making composite tubing rn.
is this april fools wtf
those bamboos cost more than realllly nice steal.
Just wrap the offending joint in an entire roll of fiber fix
I thought the whole point of bamboo bikes is affordability?
A bamboo bike got dropped off today and I’m really excited to dig into it a bit. Its apparently an early prototype for one of the kits that was supposed to give everyone in ghana access to a bike.
How’d that work out?
